Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most famous role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. In the final season of the show Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick received nominations for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she participates in Passover seders.
